Friday night Musical evening
Aug 24 at 2:34
It has been such a long week!
But we have had some great things happen. Friday night we had our musical event and though the number
was not high, the Spirit there was sweet. And the testimonies shared were quite sincere. I am quite grateful
for those people who came. Especially Dayton and Cindy. They are a sweet couple that we felt inspired to
see the day before. And while we were visiting with them they said the missionaries always seem to stop by
at the right time...right when things are falling apart. :) But we invited them and they loved the music.
Saturday we had exchanges and did some fun things like washed some dogs! :) But also had an appointment
with our investigator Kristi. And she has a desire to know. But wants to know for sure. We were asking about
her prayers and she had decided on her own that Sunday (yesterday) she wanted to fast to know about the
things she had been learning. What a great example of desiring after truth and righteousness!!!
At church we had a few people there. Mich&Q are the greatest. And we usually have a lesson before church.
But this week they wanted to forgoe the lesson so they could stay for all the meetings. By the end they just
felt so loved and Q just bounced into the Relief Society room with us and his Mom to tell her he loved it. What
a great day! The ward is so great to share their love.
Last night we met an example of such a loving Catholic woman. She is the matriarch of C&R's family. And she
has never been there during a lesson. But it was a special visit. So while we were having our lesson. She was
open, willing and so loving in her responses and wisdom she shared with us. And so tender with how she read
the Book of Mormon. We are excited to see what happens.
The work is good and so hard! But salvation is no easy task.
Love you all,
